THE NEW YORK CITY PARKS ENFORCEMENT PATROL
MOUNTED AUXILIARY UNIT

Welcome to the website of The New York City Parks Enforcement Patrol Mounted Auxiliary Unit. Founded in April 1996, it has developed from a corps of several volunteers into the 60+ member operational unit that currently patrols Central Park, Clove Lakes Park, and Van Cortlandt Park.

Members of the Auxiliary Unit are private citizens who volunteer their time to serve the city by working with the Parks Enforcement Patrol (PEP) branch of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.
